Oh Bruneian Artists.

Differences between international celebrities and Bruneian Artists.

1. International celebrities earn massive sum of salaries, but our local artists only earn little salaries.
2. International celebrities have huge mansions but some of our local artists stay in a bungalow.
3. since Brunei is a small country, everyone knows each other. i.e. their life history, where does the artist’s mom work, where’s their house, who is the artist’s father.
4. Brunei is lack of official press, so compared to international celebrities, Bruneian artists are blessed to have their private live untouched.
5. international celebrities can afford big expensive cars in the world such as Lamborghini, but our local artists only drive the most expensive car in OUR market, Lexus.
6. we have no media and we have no gifted make-up artists, so our local singers cannot rely on their looks, they have to be really talented to be in the industry.
7. the local artists’ album cannot be regarded as an ALBUM. Its only consists of 2 songs and are sold for $10. (WTF?!) The 2 songs will be in several versions such as unplugged, acoustic, radio version, blah blah.
8. international celebrities are required to employ bodyguards, securities, managers and legal representative to keep them away from harm but in Brunei, the artists do not need them. This is because they are not being chased by their fans.
9. for some people, being a Bruneian artist is a big ignominy.

10. international celebrities wear luxurious designed couture, but our local artists wear only Baju Raya with maniks and big mahal katoks. the katoks will determine how wealthy the artist is.
11. international celebrities are sponsored and often offered to be spokesperson to famous brands but our local artists only a spokesperson to Nazmi Textile, RTB, Keselamatan Jalan Raya ( Road Safety).

Berbanggalah dengan industri sendiri. kalau bukan kita, siapa lagi yang akan memajukan industri tanah air..

be proud of local industry.. the local industry need our supports.
